What is Nearth ?
Nearth is a purpose-driven non-profit initiative based in Sri Lanka, working to promote environmental sustainability, community empowerment, health and wellbeing, legal awareness, and animal welfare.
Is Nearth officially registered?
Nearth has initiated its formal registration process with the National Secretariat for Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO Secretariat), Sri Lanka, under the Voluntary Social Service Organizations Act. We are currently operating in accordance with legal and compliance guidelines while the registration is being finalized.
Where is Nearth located?
Our main office is located at:
12th Floor, Parkland Building, Park Street, Colombo 02, Sri Lanka
We also maintain licensed coordination offices in the United States, Japan and Sweden.
How can I volunteer with Nearth?
You can contact us using contact us form to sign up for available opportunities. We welcome volunteers from Sri Lanka and abroad who are passionate about social and environmental change.
How can I donate to Nearth?
While we await final registration, we are not yet able to receive public donations directly in Sri Lanka. However, expressions of interest and support can be submitted through our Contact Us form or via email. Or contact us via +94 71 899 4448 (whatsup available).
Are donations to Nearth tax-deductible?
At this time, Nearth is in the process of formal registration, and we cannot yet issue tax-deductible receipts under Sri Lankan nonprofit law. Once registration is complete, we will update our donors accordingly.
Can Nearth partner with international organizations or companies?
